Here lies a collection of my favorite artists and pieces that I have come across (with reflections if I had anything interesting to say about the piece). Apologies for the disorganized thoughts!

Szilveszter Makó:#

Starting off with a topical piece (at least on the 25th of December 2025). This is Szilveszter Mako and his potrayal of Rama Duwaji.

A surface level analysis suplemented by a few instagram reels, these compositions center around the “First-Lady Hands”. The first two (from the left) are complements or even substitutes to each other in that she poses exactly how people want her to be, in a box with the her demure hands and showing her “goood-side”. The second picture is her with these ceramic hands that are a nod to her artistic side, with her face now directly looking at the viewer. The last one is a mystery to me but as preliminary, her face is less composed and stressed. Her form is sleek, feminine. Along the article that these pictures complement, this picture symbolizes her discomfort in being percieved as she: complement to her husband. If you block out either half of the face, the composition presents quite differently.
