TV-Shows
Here are the shows that I have watched in recent memory:
2026:#
BLAH BLAH BLAH
-
The Great - Season 1,2,3 (Current):
- Amazing show! Truly funny and well written. The first episode was a masterclass in comedy and world building. Love the intentional omission of historical accuracies.
- Peter and Catherine have such a tense and amazing arc that makes sense and has played out perfectly. Catherine is much like Peter in many ways.
-
Fargo - Season 1:
- Loved BBT in it. Not much to say other than solid performance by everyone.
-
Yellowstone - Season 1-4:
- Currently in Episode 1. Only really watch it in the 10 minutes that I take off from TA hours to eat dinner. Been lost as to what is happening in the story but it does look quite sick! I find that one miserable female lead to be uncool and doing too much.
- Amidst working on my thesis I have found a three hour stretch, subtracted from time that I could be sleeping, to binge watch a good 4 episodes on my way to episode 7! Really like what the show is putting on about now. Beth has really warmed up to me about now and I appreciate her acting a lot more. Cannot unsee how similar this is to Landman especially with Kayce and Cooper being essentially the same character. I really want to work/own a ranch (not the sauce).
- After binging through most of the first three seasons through finals week, I am now in the last season. The story definitely has slowed down. Jimmy exiting the story definitely has left an empty hole in the plot.
- Taylor Sheridan can definitely make a good-looking, high-action Western!
- Really loved the excursion to Texas with Jimmy. The 6666 ranch is absurdly cool; crazy that Taylor Sheridan also owns part of that!
- Finally! After a few months of watching I am finally done. I did not mind this show. It was an easy watch that filled the air waves as I worked. To expect anything of substance in terms of characters was never the intention but it was quite a fun watch nevertheless. I like the action, I like the aesthetics. Great show! 8/10.
- Tyler Sheridan seems pretty petty given all the YouTube Shorts I have seen about how he wrote off many of the characters in the show. Other than that, extremely fun watch. It was a soap opera, a funny watch and definitely filled a sort of void I had during the time I watched it.
-
Pitt - Season 2:
- Loved Episode 10 and how uncomfortable it made me. The subtle ways that things happen really do fly over my head and if it were not for twitter posts metioning them, I would be in the dark. Robby is definitely not coming back alive if he leaves this shift. Him telling Dr. Mohan that the walls of the ER have to be a fortress with nothing from outside seeping in is funny because clearly everything seeps outwards for him. The pan to Robby when the mom of the heatstroke kid recalls her child just ridding, and ridding till he was not was beautiful!
- Great season! Loved Naoh Wyle’s performance. The impending nature of Robby’s breakdown was beautifully executed! Frick the twitter stans for woke-maxxing this show.
-
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms ⭐:
- A refreshing direction to take in the expansive world of Westeros. Two episodes in, I am comfortably settled into this show. It was quite jarring having a harsh flashback in a GOT-esque show and deadpan bits being in full display, but as the scene that follows the theme song seems to imply, this show is taking another approach to the GOT IP.
- On Episode 4 at the moment. So tense, so funny. The comedic timing and pacing of the story are oh so good! The flash of red right before Ser Dunk charges was chilling, along with the sound design that complemented it.
- An amazing series! Beautiful acting and writing. Has me completely enamoured with the GoT franchise once again. Has given the friend group an abundance of material to discuss.
-
The Diplomat - Season 1, 2, 3:
- Quite impressed by the quality of the show, though I am not sold on the central plot with the British ship. The Season 2 finale had me ROFL! Some might call it sloppy, but I thought it was hilarious yet tense.
- Season 3 was fine. Did not have any big opinions on it. The intermingling of Kate and Hal’s relationship is fierce but repetitive.
-
Landman - Season 2:
- Holy moly!! What a way to end a season! I was getting sick of the show and the sluggishness it had become. From the unbearable, boomer-appeasing escapades that Angela and Ainsley are caught up in, to the nonsensical filler that Cooper and Ariana are perpetually doomed to. The fate of the once-thrilling, narcos-stealing, plane-hijacking, thing-blowing-up show felt doomed—to the point where I forgot why I even watched it. The finale, though, brought it right back to where it needed to be with its gripping thrills and tension, reminding me why I watch this show in the first place. Despite some plotlines feeling forced, like Cami’s wild-catting being pure “rage-bait” and Miss Type-A Lawyer Lady’s frictionless acceptance as chief legal counsel at a substantially lesser firm, I’m glad I got THIS finale as opposed to what could have been if one were to extrapolate the direction of this season.
-
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Season 1,2 (Current): On and Off
-
(Rewatch) Game of Thrones - Season 1:
- Rewatched the first season over the span of two days! There was so mcuh to read into in every dialogue, interaction, subtle camera pans having watched the series already.
